Description
  • Value proposition

    Set standards. Save lives.

The International Search and Rescue Dog Organisation (IRO) is the global umbrella organisation for search and rescue dog work. Founded in 1993 as a non-profit organisation we ensure uniform quality standards in the training of search and rescue dogs. Through various trainings, operational exercises, and examinations, we prepare search and rescue dog teams around the globe for deployment.

IRO has always been funded by public donations. Thanks to our network of generous donors, volunteers and partners, we are able to empower dogs to help people in need.

When disaster strikes, our dogs are ready to save lives.
