Founded in 1901 by Police Prefect Louis LĂ©pine, the LĂ©pine Competition has a dual mission:
- support French and international Inventors and Creators
- honor and promote Invention, Innovation and Creation through its Competitions-Exhibitions.
The LĂ©pine Competition is an association governed by the Law of 1901, recognized as being of public utility by decree of April 21, 1912, it is also a laureate of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences.

Véritable référence dans le monde de l’Invention depuis plus d’un siècle, le Concours Lépine a su rester un tremplin et un label d’excellence pour l’industrie française. Depuis sa création en 1901, des milliers d’Inventions, des plus extraordinaires aux plus surprenantes ont vu le jour et pris forme dans les allées de ses Concours-Expositions. Parmi lesquelles, le stylo à bille inventé au début du XXème siècle, le fer à repasser à vapeur, le presse-purée, devenu un produit phare de la société Moulinex ou encore le fauteuil roulant électrique de Dupont Médical, l’incontournable Aspivenin, le marchepied élévateur de la société Manuvit, leader dans la manutention de charges diverses et le distributeur automatique de pain, pour déguster une baguette fraîchement cuite à toutes heures de la journée.
Fondé en 1901 par le Préfet de Police Louis Lépine, le Concours Lépine a une double mission :
- soutenir les Inventeurs et Créateurs français et internationaux
- mettre à l’honneur et promouvoir l’Invention, l’Innovation et la Création par le biais de ses Concours-expositions.
Le Concours Lépine est une association régie par la Loi de 1901, reconnue d’utilité publique par décret du 21 Avril 1912, elle est également lauréate de l’Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques.
