L’académie de Poitiers compte 29 000 personnels qui se mobilisent au quotidien pour assurer les parcours scolaires de 300 000 élèves de la maternelle au post-bac. Elle est engagée dans une dynamique de progrès social et d’innovation et vise prioritairement à préparer chaque élève au meilleur avenir possible. Le service public d’éducation de l’académie de Poitiers poursuit également l’objectif de participer aux dynamiques territoriales en Charente, Charente-Maritime, Deux-Sèvres et Vienne pour des territoires urbains, péri-urbains et ruraux attractifs.
L’académie de Poitiers encourage la constitution de collectifs de travail inter-catégoriels et favorise le développement professionnel de tous ses personnels grâce à son École académique de la formation continue. Elle s’appuie sur un maillage territorial spécifique en réseaux ECLORE (école, collège et lycée pour l’orientation et la réussite des élèves) pour que les personnels puissent travailler en inter-degré au service du parcours de l’élève.
