The nanotechnology start-up was launched by IP Group Inc. to commercialize technology developed by University of Washington researchers in collaboration with CoMotion. Somalytics has developed a patent-pending miniature paper carbon nanotube capacitive sensor that is highly sensitive to the human body, enabling new consumer and industrial applications. Somalytics’ skin, eye and gesture monitoring sensors are developed and manufactured in the U.S. and are anticipated to change the world by improving the human experience through innovations in areas such as consumer electronics, Internet of Things, transportation, and health and wellness.
