[Automatic translation follows] Solutions and Technologies for Automated Driving in Town: an urban mobility project
In the joint project, 20 companies from the automotive and supplier industries as well as universities and research institutes have come together. Supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, they will spend three and a half years of research working until mid-2026 to develop concepts and pilot applications for end-to-end automated driving in urban areas that are tailored to user needs. The focus is on the implementation of new, AI-based methods and their demonstration in automated driving systems, especially in complex traffic situations.

Solutions and Technologies for Automated Driving in Town: an urban mobility project
Im Verbundprojekt haben sich 20 Unternehmen aus Automobil- und Zulieferindustrie sowie Universitäten und Forschungseinrichtungen zusammengeschlossen. Unterstützt durch das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie entwickeln sie in dreieinhalbjähriger Forschungsarbeit bis Mitte 2026 auf die Nutzerbedürfnisse zugeschnittene Konzepte und Pilotapplikationen des durchgängigen automatisierten Fahrens im urbanen Raum. Schwerpunkte liegen in der Umsetzung neuer, KI-basierter Methoden und deren Demonstration in automatisierten Fahrsystemen, insbesondere bei komplexen Verkehrssituationen.
