Techniek en IT zijn de sectoren van vooruitgang en Innovatie. Maar ook van stilstand: nog steeds weten vooral mannen hun weg te vinden naar een bètabaan.

Daarom strijden we met VHTO voor meer vrouwen in technische beroepen en voor meer keuzevrijheid voor meisjes op school. Voor de techneuten en technologen van de toekomst, die met een vrouwelijke blik naar techniek en IT kunnen kijken. Die de blinde vlekken in het ontwerpproces wél zien. En die de wereld van techniek, IT en andere bètaberoepen verrijken.
Die strijd gaan we aan met een flinke lading kennis, met bakken ervaring en een groot netwerk. Maar ook met kant-en-klare activiteiten en slimme tools die we overal inzetten om stereotypes en (onbewuste) overtuigingen te doorbreken. Niet alleen op school of op de werkvloer dus, maar van school tót op de werkvloer. Zodat meisjes op meerdere momenten in hun leven technische rolmodellen tegenkomen en met eigen ogen inzien dat technologie ook hún wereld is.
