Your local Hospice caring for local people and their families, in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas

Willen Hospice is a registered charity that provides free specialist care for people whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment (also known as specialist palliative care).

    Our vision
Our vision is to be the lasting and thriving provider of free care to all people affected by life limiting illness in our community. This will be made possible by a community working together continually to share in the delivery of the most assuring, equally accessible and advanced care available.

We provide care for people from the age of 18 years upwards and work in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.Willen Hospice provides services to three Primary Care Trusts:- Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire & Northamptonshire. The Hospice is based at a quiet lakeside area close to the City Centre

Our services are free and less than 22% of our budgeted costs are met through the NHS. The Hospice still needs to raise 78% of the annual budgeted cost of circa £4.6million; therefore your support is vital.

    How we are funded
The cost of providing services increases year on year and the support of the local community is crucial in maintaining the high standards of care for which Willen Hospice is renowned.

    • Total Cost of Service £4.6 million
    • Amount the Hospice needs to raise £3.6 million
    • NHS contribution toward costs less than 22%

    Generating Income
The income generation teams, (Willen Hospice Ventures Ltd) are tasked with providing regular income for the Hospice, but the Hospice also relies very heavily on the loyal and committed financial support of individual donors, business supporters and the voluntary efforts of the community to ensure the future funding of its work.
