Created in 2015, the Generali Climate Lab is a multidisciplinary team of high-level experts, including hydrologist engineers, doctors in geography, actuaries, social science engineers, data scientists and professional insurers. Créé en 2015, le Generali Climate Lab est une équipe pluridisciplinaire d’experts de haut niveau, dont des ingénieurs hydrologues, des docteurs en géographie, des actuaires, des ingénieurs en sciences sociales, des data scientists et des assureurs de métier. Son objectif est de revisiter et d’adapter le métier de l’assurance à travers des solutions d'assurance augmentées (prévention, indemnisation, distribution, etc.) qui, au-delà du rôle traditionnel d'indemnisation de l'assureur, sensibilise et informe les clients et les partenaires sur les risques naturels accrus du fait du changement climatique.
Travaillant en architecture ouverte avec des universités, le CNRS ou encore l'IMRB au sein du consortium scientifique du ballon Generali de Paris, cette entité propose des outils d'analyse et d'anticipation permettant d’appréhender et de gérer les risques présents et futurs avec un niveau de précision unique sur le marché français, de fournir aux assurés des services personnalisés de prévention et de protection à long terme tout au long de leur relation avec Generali et de travailler au développement d'une véritable culture du risque et de la prévention.
