And through our national umbrella organizations BDA and BDI, our European office in Brussels and our European umbrella organization Business Europe, we also represent the interests of the NRW economy at federal and EU levels.

Von unserem Sitz in Düsseldorf aus vertreten wir die sozial- und wirtschaftspolitischen Anliegen von 129 Mitgliedsverbänden mit 80.000 Mitgliedsbetrieben und 3 Millionen Beschäftigten. Wir sind die Stimme der NRW-Wirtschaft gegenüber Parlament, Regierung und Behörden, Parteien, Gewerkschaften, Kirchen und anderen gesellschaftlichen Gruppen. Unsere Mitglieder sind sowohl landesweite Fachverbände als auch regionale Arbeitgeber- und Wirtschaftsverbände. Wir bündeln die Positionen und Ziele unterschiedlicher Wirtschaftsregionen, Branchen sowie der unterschiedlichsten Betriebsgrößen.
Als Stimme der NRW-Wirtschaft beschäftigen wir uns mit allen Fragen der Wirt-schafts-, Sozial-, Tarif-, Arbeitsmarkt und Bildungspolitik. Wir machen uns für eine Politik stark, die für ein faires und verlässliches Umfeld sorgt und so die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Unternehmen in NRW fördert. Wir möchten Rahmen-bedingungen, die Menschen ermutigen, neue Unternehmen in unserem Bundesland zu gründen und in bestehende zu investieren. So wollen wir dazu beitragen, den Wirtschaftsstandort NRW im nationalen und internationalen Ringen um Arbeitsplätze und Investitionen nach vorne bringen.
Für diese Ziele setzen wir uns in persönlichen Gesprächen mit der Politik, in den Medien, in Veranstaltungen, mit Studien und Stellungnahmen, als Sachverstän-dige in Anhörungen und durch die Mitarbeit in Gremien, über unsere Verbin-dungsstellen bei den Bezirksregierungen sowie in den Selbstverwaltungsorganen der Sozialversicherung ein. Und über unsere nationalen Dachverbände BDA und BDI, unser Europa-Büro in Brüssel und unseren europäischen Dachverband Busi-ness Europe bringen wir die Interessen der NRW-Wirtschaft auch auf Bundes- und EU-Ebene ein.
