The Laboratory OptimHal-ProtecSom is a Norman research SME (Small and Medium-sized Businesses) which designs and manufactures in France medical devices for the lung deposition of medicine, asthma and allergy.
The company, which dedicates a third of its resources directly to research, expands in part through an assertive politic of partnership:
- Partnerships for the distribution of its devices, currently available in 30 countries through a network of 15 exclusive partners.
- Partnerships in research with several university teams from France, Canada and the United States.
- Industrial partnerships, including Bosch’s Norman factory for the industrialization of our last electronic device.
Joint project from our multidisciplinary research team and those partners lead to several innovations and numerous patents, some co-owned with public research bodies such as INSERM or university laboratories in particular the University of Normandy or the François Rabelais University of Tours.
All devices presently marketed by the Laboratory OptimHal-ProtecSom benefited from these research efforts, were developed in France with ISO 13485:2016-certified processes and are manufactured under the same quality management system certifications.

Le laboratoire OptimHal-ProtecSom est une PME normande de recherche qui conçoit, développe, fabrique et commercialise des dispositifs médicaux pour la déposition pulmonaire des médicaments, l’asthme et l’allergie.
L’entreprise, qui consacre un tiers de ses ressources directement à la recherche, se développe en partie grâce à une politique audacieuse et volontariste de partenariats :
- Partenariats pour la distribution de ses dispositifs qui sont actuellement disponibles dans 30 pays au travers d’un réseau de 15 partenaires distributeurs exclusifs
- Partenariats en recherche avec plusieurs équipes universitaires en France, au Canada et aux États-Unis.
- Partenariats industriels dont un récent avec le site normand de Bosch pour l’industrialisation de notre dernier dispositif électronique.
Plusieurs innovations sont issues conjointement de notre équipe de recherche pluridisciplinaire et de ces partenariats et ont fait l’objet de nombreux brevets dont certains en copropriété avec des organismes de recherche publics comme l’INSERM ou des laboratoires universitaires notamment l’Université de Normandie ou l’Université François Rabelais de Tours.
Tous les dispositifs actuellement commercialisés par le Laboratoire OptimHal-ProtecSom ont bénéficié de ces efforts de recherche, ont été développés en France avec des Processus certifiés ISO 13485:2016 et sont fabriqués avec les mêmes certification du système de management de la qualité.
