En dehors de l’incubation de projets innovants, liés ou non à la recherche publique, INIZIÀ porte également des missions de sensibilisation à l’entrepreneuriat et à l’innovation dans l’enseignement supérieur , d’animation de l’écosystème régional de l’innovation.
L’incubateur apporte ainsi une contribution importante à la politique de l’innovation mise en œuvre sur le territoire insulaire.
Incubateur territorial, INIZIÀ est soutenu financièrement par la Collectivité Territoriale de Corse, l’Etat (Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche) et l’Union Européenne, ainsi que par ses membres fondateurs parmi lesquels l’Université de Corse, les Communautés d’agglomération d’Ajaccio et de Bastia et les CCI.
