La Communauté d’agglomération de l’Ouest Rhodanien rayonne sur un territoire vaste de 577 km2 au nord-ouest de Lyon, situé au cœur de la Région Auvergne Rhône-Alpes. Les plus de 50.000 habitants qu’elle recense sont répartis entre 31 communes.
Présidée par M. Patrice Verchère, la COR dispose de nombreuses compétences parmi lesquelles le développement économique, la protection de l’environnement, l’aménagement de l’espace communautaire, la gestion des déchets ou encore la promotion du tourisme. Créée en janvier 2014, elle s’ingénie depuis à mener des politiques innovantes et tournées vers les problématiques du développement durable et de la solidarité.
