[Automatic translation follows] AquitHealth is an association whose ambition is to lead and promote the digital revolution in health in the Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes region.
AquitHealth was born from a concrete observation: currently, the Aquitaine region has one of the largest e-health ecosystems in France, and yet the awareness of health professionals on this topic is still weak and the barriers between digital professionals and health professionals are still too thick.
This is the origin of the creation of the association. The goal is clearly defined: to develop relationships, exchanges and collaboration between digital professionals (developers, designers, entrepreneurs), patients and health professionals. Thus breaking down barriers, to create conditions conducive to the emergence of new multidisciplinary collaborations that will be the success stories of tomorrow.
It is natural that we organize, in partnership with Hacking Health, the "When Doctors meet Hackers" (WDMH) Congress, a 3-day event including a conference day on the future of health and a large 50-hour hackathon to bring out innovative digital solutions in health. We also organize regular meetups to mobilize the Aquitaine ecosystem.
Born from an e-health think tank, the AquitHealth association was founded in 2016 by six public health doctors.

AquitHealth est une association ayant pour ambition d’animer et de promouvoir la révolution numérique en santé dans la région Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes.
C’est en partant d’un constat concret qu’AquitHealth est née : à l’heure actuelle, la région Aquitaine dispose d’un des plus grand écosystème de France en e-santé, et pourtant l’éveil des professionnel de santé à cette thématique est encore faible et les cloisons entre professionnels du numérique et ceux de la santé encore trop épaisses.
Voilà l’origine de la création de l’association. Le but est clairement défini : développer les relations, les échanges et la collaboration entre les professionnels du numériques (developpers, designer, entrepreneurs), les patients et les professionnels de santé. Ainsi faire tomber les barrières, pour créer des conditions propices à l’émergence de nouvelles collaborations multidisciplinaire qui seront les histoires à succès de demain.
C’est naturellement que nous organisons, en partenariat avec Hacking Health, le "When Doctors meet Hackers" (WDMH) Congres, un évènement sur 3 jours comprenant une journée de conférence sur le futur de la santé et un grand hackathon de 50 heures pour faire émerger des solutions numériques innovantes en santé. Nous organisons également des meetup régulier pour mobiliser l'écosystème Aquitain.
Née d'un think tank en e-santé, l'association AquitHealth est fondée en 2016 par six médecins de santé publique.
