Accélérons la recherche en santé
Créée en 1987 par la Mutualité et reconnue d’utilité publique, la Fondation de l’Avenir encourage et soutient la recherche médicale appliquée, passerelle indispensable entre la recherche fondamentale et l’application aux patients. En partenariat avec les établissements de soins mutualistes, elle développe l’innovation dans les pratiques de soins et l’accompagnement pour les malades d’aujourd’hui. Forte de ses 50 000 donateurs particuliers et de ses partenaires, la Fondation de l’Avenir dessine, avec des équipes de recherche majoritairement publiques, les pratiques médicochirurgicales de demain.
La Fondation a financé plus de 1 200 projets de recherche depuis son origine. Elle a contribué à des découvertes majeures à retombées internationales, telles que la stimulation cérébrale profonde pour le traitement des symptômes de la maladie de Parkinson, la destruction des calculs rénaux par ultrason ou la greffe de cellules cardiaques dérivées de cellules souches embryonnaires humaines.
La Fondation de l’Avenir s’entoure d’hommes, de femmes, de personnes physiques et morales, qui partagent une même ambition : faire avancer la recherche médicale appliquée et l’innovation dans les pratiques de soins et d’accompagnement. C’est donc tout naturellement que l’environnement mutualiste se mobilise autour de la Fondation.
