For over 50 years, the Houston Marine & Energy Insurance Conference (HMEIC), formerly known as Houston Marine Insurance Seminar (HMIS) and sponsored by Marine Insurance Seminars, Inc., has attracted the top talent in the marine and energy insurance and admiralty law industries. Our annual three-day Conference held every September offers networking opportunities, panels and key note speeches from industry leaders and continuing education credits in multiple jurisdictions for insurance and legal professionals.

HMEIC is also a is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that is committed to providing and promoting educational opportunities in marine and energy insurance and admiralty law for the legal and insurance professionals of tomorrow. Over the past 15 years, the Conference has donated over $1,000,000 in program assistance, scholarships and library assistance to a number of law schools and universities to aid their insurance programs and support their marine law curriculum.
