The Maison du Vélo aims to make it easier and to encourage the greater Lyon population to use cycling or walking as a means of transport. La Maison du Vélo a pour objectif de faciliter et donner envie aux grands lyonnais d’utiliser le vélo ou la marche comme modes de déplacement. Elle propose ainsi différents services aux cyclistes et futurs cyclistes comme un espace d’information et de documentation, une vélo-école (de 8 à 88 ans), des animations et des événements, des plans de déplacement domicile-école ainsi que des formations vers les entreprises et administrations.
L'association réunit environ 500 adhérents, une cinquantaine de bénévoles, une petite équipe salariée et plusieurs volontaires en service civique pour mettre en œuvre son projet au service du territoire.
