Here at Habitat for Humanity, we work to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

For some of us, finding affordable housing can be a struggle. For example, virtually nowhere in the US can a full-time minimum wage employee afford a one-bedroom apartment. More than half of all adults have made at least one trade off in the past three years to cover their rent or mortgage. Trade offs include taking a second job, cutting back on health care and healthy food, and moving to less safe neighborhoods.
