TEMISTh (Transferts Energétiques, Matériaux Innovants et Systèmes Thermiques) a été crée le 2 juillet 2012, dans un contexte de forte demande de prestations à forte valeur ajoutée dans le domaine de l’énergie. La vocation première de l’entreprise est la valorisation des travaux de recherche du laboratoire IUSTI, notamment ceux de l’équipe de transferts de chaleur et de masse (TCM).
Le projet d’entreprise a été motivée par un marché émergeant où il n’y a que très peu d’acteurs au regard des attentes énergétiques actuelles.
Nous proposons donc des prestations où la valeur ajoutée se situe dans l’analyse des données, les propositions d’améliorations, voire le développement de nouvelles technologiques.
La société est hébergée depuis le 1er Octobre 2012 à l’Hôtel Technologique, au sein même du technopôle de Château-Gombert, par la pépinière d’entreprise Marseille Innovation. Nous sommes également pris en charge par l’incubateur inter-universitaire Impulse depuis le 3 décembre.
Nous proposons une activité centrée sur la caractérisation de matériaux non conventionnels, par exemple les mousses métalliques, ainsi que l'optimisation de composants et systèmes énergétiques.
Pour celà, nous nous appuyons sur le savoir faire certain de l'IUSTI dans les transferts de chaleurs et de masse en milieux hétérogènes et des bancs de mesures innovants qui y ont été développés. La société possède ses propres moyens de calcul et de licences CFD avec le logiciel StarCCM+ de CD-Adapco.

Nous développons des échangeurs thermiques sur mesure en fabrication additive et FSW. Plaques froides, chambres à vapeur, échangeurs à hautes pressions (jusqu'à 1000 bars) et couvrant des températures du cryogénique jusqu'à 1000K.
