Silicon Comté est une association à but non-lucratif sous loi 1901 créée début 2014 par une dizaine de professionnels indépendants et d’entrepreneurs de la filière numérique franc-comtoise.
Outre une stimulation des échanges au sein de la filière, l’objectif est de mener des actions spécifiques à destination du grand public, du monde économique et institutionnel, afin de promouvoir les métiers spécialisés, soutenir le développement des infrastructures, démocratiser les usages et valoriser l’intérêt des services numériques en Franche-Comté.
Son siège est situé à Besançon mais l’emprise géographique de son action s’étend sur toute la région Franche-Comté. Elle est susceptible de déborder sur les régions limitrophes grâce à divers partenariats ou actions ciblées.
Si l’on trouve diverses motivations à la source de cette aventure, toutes ont des objectifs communs : assumer ses responsabilités, fédérer les acteurs clés du secteur pour créer des connexions professionnelles et agir pour le présent autant que pour l’avenir du numérique en Franche-Comté grâce à l’émergence d’un véritable écosystème dynamique et reconnu.
