Created in 2000, Terres en villes is the network of local actors of agricultural and food policies of agglomerations. By relying on collective intelligence, the network supports its members to face the challenges of the agricultural and food transition.

Créé en 2000, Terres en villes est le réseau des acteurs locaux des politiques agricoles et alimentaires d’agglomérations. En s’appuyant sur l’intelligence collective, le réseau accompagne ses membres pour faire face aux défis de la transition agricole et alimentaire.
Les nombreuses rencontres organisées entre les membres permettent un échange d’expériences et de pratiques et un apprentissage mutuel, tandis que les projets et recherches-actions dans lesquels est impliqué le réseau permettent d’expérimenter dans les territoires et d’explorer de nouveaux domaines d’action. En s’appuyant sur ses acquis, Terres en villes contribue au débat national et international sur la ville, son agriculture et son alimentation.
La Charte de Terres en villes prône les valeurs du développement durable et l’hybridation des approches entre agronomie, urbanisme et écologie. Elle a été récemment renouvelée afin d’élargir les valeurs du réseau aux systèmes alimentaires territoriaux.
Ce sont aujourd’hui vingt-sept agglomérations ou métropoles qui constituent le réseau, chacune étant représentée conjointement par l’intercommunalité et la Chambre départementale d’agriculture ou en Ile-de-France par une association territoriale comprenant ces deux collèges.
