The road is long but the path is clear.
Framasoft is an association for popular education on digital issues and cultural commons that leads, continues and participates in many actions aimed at facilitating emancipation through digital technology.
The projects carried out by the association are driven by a desire to promote digital freedoms. Indeed, respecting the fundamental freedoms of users, guaranteed by legal contracts (free licenses), ensures that everyone remains in control of their digital tools.

Framasoft est une association d’éducation populaire aux enjeux du numérique et aux communs culturels qui mène, poursuit et participe à de nombreuses actions visant à faciliter l’émancipation par le numérique.
Les projets menés par l’association sont animés par une volonté de promouvoir les libertés numériques. En effet, le respect des libertés fondamentales des utilisatrices et utilisateurs, garanties par des contrats légaux (les licences libres), permet de s’assurer que chacun⋅e reste en maîtrise de ses outils numériques.
En ce sens, l’association mène de nombreux projets :
- l’hébergement de services en ligne libres et gratuits pour tous les internautes : Framadate, Framapad, Framaforms, Frama.space, etc.
- le développement de logiciels pour libérer les usages : PeerTube, Mobilizon, Yakforms et Framadate
- la création et l’alimentation de sites web pour valoriser la culture libre : Framalibre, Framablog, Framatube, Des Livres en Commun, etc.
- la sensibilisation lors de nombreuses interventions : conférences, ateliers, formations, etc.
- la production de dispositifs pédagogiques de médiation numérique : manuels, MOOC, documentation, annuaire de la médiation numérique, etc.
- la participation aux projets de nos partenaires : collectif CHATONS, L.A. Coalition, Contribateliers, Bénévalibre, Pytition, etc.
