Les Jeunes Écologistes sont le mouvement de jeunesse de l’écologie politique. Cette organisation, alors appelée Les Jeunes Verts, a vu le jour en juillet 2001. Elle a évoluée pour devenir en janvier 2011 « Les Jeunes Écologistes ». Dynamiques et créatifs, les Jeunes Écologistes sont des lycéens, étudiants ou jeunes actifs sensibles aux idées écolo, désireux de les défendre, de les partager et de les étoffer.
Les Jeunes Écologistes ont pour but d’assurer la promotion de l’écologie politique auprès des jeunes. Ils affirment leur attachement aux concepts d’écologie, d’équité sociale, de solidarité, de démocratie, de féminisme...
Ancrés à gauche, ils sont convaincus que l’écologie politique est une alternative crédible au libéralisme sauvage, au conservatisme politique et à la social-démocratie.
Les Jeunes Écologistes allient l’action de type « associatif » et le travail politique strictement «institutionnel ». Ils s’attachent à ce titre à organiser des actions originales, festives et créatives, sans pour autant négliger le message politique de fond.
