Actua is a Canadian national charity with a mission to provide life-changing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) experiences that inspire ALL youth to achieve their potential and fulfill their critical role in the world. Actua's focus is on the development and delivery of programming designed to break down barriers to youth engagement in STEM and promote continued studies and related career opportunities.
Each year, through its growing network of over 40 member organizations located at universities and colleges across the country, and through its Outreach Team, Actua engages and inspires over 350,000 youth in over 500 communities nationwide. Through our National Indigenous Youth in STEM (InSTEM) program, we engage over 35,000 Aboriginal Canadians in community-based culturally relevant experiences.
Actua envisions a world in which every young Canadian, regardless of background, ability, or socio-economic status, can feel inspired and empowered through science, technology, engineering, and math. The young people we reach today will become the role models for future generations. They will build tomorrow's dynamic, competitive and diverse workforce and will help make Canada a global leader in science literacy and innovation.
STEM Education
As Canada's largest STEM learning organization, Actua provides youth in underserved communities with unique educational experiences.
