Call2Recycle, Inc. is committed to protecting and preserving the environment through responsible consumer battery and cellphone recycling. Founded in 1994, the not-for-profit organization works on behalf of stakeholders to provide its no-cost battery and cellphone recycling program to consumers across the U.S. and Canada through convenient drop-off locations, including retailers and local communities. Nearly 80% of American households purchased battery-powered tools and tech gadgets this holiday season. But how many of us actually know how to properly recycle used batteries?
“Like other green habits, battery recycling can easily fit into your daily routine, by helping you to declutter while doing something good for the planet. Batteries give us the freedom to go unplugged and with that freedom comes the responsibility to ensure that old batteries are responsibly managed and safely recycled,” Gabor said.
