    The Coalition to Eradicate Viral Hepatitis in Asia Pacific (CEVHAP) is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to reduce the significant health, social and economic burden of viral hepatitis in Asia Pacific. It is the first organization of its kind in the region, established as an independent, multidisciplinary body to advocate for public policy reform to reduce the impact of viral hepatitis in Asia Pacific.

    Incorporated in October 2010, CEVHAP membership is comprised of many world-renowned hepatitis experts, including people living with the infections, utilizing the collective expertise of its members. CEVHAP works in partnership with a broad range of stakeholders such as government bodies, patient groups and the medical profession in public policy formulation and health education.

    The ultimate goal of CEVHAP is to eliminate viral hepatitis altogether – a goal that it aims to achieve through:

    1. Advocacy – being an independent voice, connecting with other stakeholders, civil social and governments in calling for a better response to viral hepatitis;

    2. Policy Development – conducting evidence-based policy and associated research to address data gaps and inform the development of public policy;

    3. Education – building capacity at a local level by supporting local advocates with tools and knowledge to support their advocacy work.

    Currently, CEVHAP has members from 15 countries/territories in Asia Pacific: Australia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan.
