La misión de la Fundación es contribuir a la formación de nuestros dirigentes, a la defensa de la libertad y a la difusión del conocimiento. Hoy, más que nunca, es importante promover desde la sociedad civil proyectos de innovación educativa y de desarrollo del talento, el liderazgo y el espíritu emprendedor. Es por ello que destacan entre sus actividades las relacionadas con la formación de dirigentes y emprendedores españoles, incluyendo la concesión de becas de estudios e investigación -en especial las Becas de Excelencia Rafael del Pino-, la organización de más de 60 cursos y programas de formación, el apoyo a programas de investigación así como la organización de conferencias, diálogos y encuentros en los que destacados líderes de los ámbitos político, económico o social analizan, en profundidad, problemáticas y realidades actuales. Se une a estas acciones una especial dedicación a la promoción del conocimiento de la Historia, la defensa del patrimonio histórico y cultural español, el fomento de la importancia de la lengua española como vehículo de comunicación en el mundo y el desarrollo de programas en el ámbito de la salud y la mejora de las condiciones de vida de nuestros dirigentes.
