The Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship – Caribbean (BCoEC) ignites businesses to operate in a sustainable and socially responsible way to improve livelihoods and transform the world. Opened in Montego Bay, Jamaica by Sir Richard Branson in September 2011, BCoEC is a hub for budding entrepreneurs who gain access to knowledge, markets, networks and resources through a dynamic and practical business training and support programme. We provide REAL solutions and ongoing support all while building a community where they can engage and collaborate with other aspiring, and veteran, entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs need different things at different times, so we offer a balanced mix of essential support services that they need to help them thrive and scale through the various developmental stages of their businesses. Branson Centre entrepreneurs are socially minded visionaries who use “business as a force for good” and act as change-makers in their community. By supporting the development of small and growing businesses, the Centre helps to create jobs and contribute to the economy in the Caribbean region. Despite being a non-profit, the Centre, does not see itself as a charity. It operates very much like many of its entrepreneurs do – as an innovative, passion-driven & positively disruptive social enterprise.
