Der Bambus ist, wie Carbon, eine Art natürlicher Faserverbundstoff mit erstaunlichen Eigenschaften. Er ist äußerst stabil, trotzdem leicht und hat dabei noch federnde und dämpfende Eigenschaften. Ideale Eigenschaften für einen Fahrradrahmen!
Vor Ort in Ghana gibt es mittlerweile mehr als 35 überdurchschnittlich fair bezahlte Arbeitsplätze mit Zukunftsperspektiven. Zusätzlich werden Bildungsprojekte wie aktuell der Bau einer eigenen Schule gefördert. Die komplette Montage erfolgt anschließend in der eigenen Manufaktur in Kiel.
Inzwischen gibt es my Boo Bambusfahrräder in verschiedensten Varianten: Herren- und Damenmodelle, als Citybike, Trekkingbike, Rennrad und neuerdings sogar als E-Bike mit Mittelmotor.
