Optrical is a developer and manufacturer of novel film products with advanced optical functionalities. The company has multiple patents application covering its innovations, targeting multi-billion $ markets, primarily in two segments-

1. Optical Anti-counterfeiting and Traceability Solutions: Authntrace(TM), and
2. LED Lighting: Illumax(TM) range of light extraction and light management films.

Optrical has developed ultra thin micro-optic films with striking visual effects for anti-counterfeiting and tamper evidence applications.

It has also developed a radically new patent pending concept of efficient Light Extraction Films (“LEF”) which eliminate expensive processes and optical layers used in LED panels today and significantly improve the light efficiency.

Optrical operates from the "Advanced Manufacturing Park" in Rotherham/ Sheffield and is managed by a team of technology and management professionals with a significant prior experience of developing and commercializing new, especially micro-optics technologies from start-up to growth and trade sale. The team has deep domain specific knowledge in the areas of optical design and simulation, development of toolings, UV materials, web based coating, patterning and converting processes as well as the optical testing and characterisation of films and lightguides and over 50 man-year’s of collective experience in relevant areas.
