The Evangelical University in Africa (UEA) through its Denis Mukwege Center of Excellence (CEDM) has been making gender equality its hobby horse for several years.

To achieve this, she needs to conduct research to understand the contours of issues of equality, conflict, and opportunities related to the theme of gender and women in particular in the Congolese context.

UEA has established the Centre of Excellence named after the Nobel Peace Prize, 2018 and Professor of Medicine. Thus, the Dénis Mukwege Center of Excellence was created in March 2019 and aims to develop a local dynamic for research, training, advocacy and mentoring around women's conditions and leadership through a gender approach.
