Eumedion represents the interests of its affiliated institutional investors in the field of corporate governance and sustainability. Wat doet Eumedion?
Eumedion behartigt de belangen van de bij haar aangesloten institutionele beleggers op het gebied van corporate governance en duurzaamheid. Doel van de pensioenfondsen, verzekeringsmaatschappijen, beleggingsinstellingen en vermogensbeheerders die deelnemer zijn van Eumedion is om de governance, milieu –en sociale prestaties van beursvennootschappen te verbeteren.
Alle institutionele beleggers kunnen in principe deelnemer worden van Eumedion mits zij belangen hebben in Nederland. Eumedion richt zich in haar belangenbehartiging voor haar deelnemers op de Nederlandse en Europese politiek en op Nederlandse beursvennootschappen.
Momenteel zijn er ongeveer 70 institutionele beleggers deelnemers. Gezamenlijk hebben zij meer dan 1.000 miljard Euro aan beleggingen onder beheer. Daarnaast zijn drie koepelorganisaties van pensioenfondsen geassocieerde deelnemers van Eumedion. Eumedion is een onafhankelijke stichting, die wordt bestuurd door afgevaardigden van een aantal deelnemers. Organisatie
Eumedion is een stichting zonder winstoogmerk. Zij heeft een Algemeen bestuur en een uit zijn midden komend Dagelijks bestuur. Het Algemeen Bestuur bestaat uit vertegenwoordigers van de deelnemers van Eumedion. De dagelijkse leiding is in handen van directeur Rients Abma.
Het beleidsvoorbereidend werk wordt gedaan door een vijftal commissies waarin afgevaardigden van de deelnemers van Eumedion zitting hebben: de Beleggingscommissie, de Juridische commissie, de Reporting & Audit commissie, de Onderzoekscommissie en de Public Relations commissie.
