Description
  • Value proposition

We educate, motivate and inspire all ages by presenting aviation and space flight history and innovation.

A Smithsonian-affiliate, the Frontiers of Flight Museum is the premier aviation museum in North Texas. Located at Historic Dallas Love Field, the Museum attracts over 100,000 visitors annually, including 30,000 students. Included in the Museum's vast collection of artifacts is the radio operator's chair from the Airship Hindenburg, the one-of-a-kind V-173 "Flying Pancake," and the Apollo 7 Command Module. Some of the more popular exhibit galleries at the Museum include the Braniff Airways, Southwest Airlines, SR-71 "Blackbird," and WWII.

As a partner of the Google Cultural Institute, individuals from around the world now have the opportunity to go on a virtual tour of the Museum and explore aviation and aerospace history. Educational tours are available throughout the year and can include living history presentations from Amelia Earhart, Wiley Post, Jimmy Doolittle, and even the Red Baron himself!

Designed to excite the imagination in space exploration and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), we began an expansive multi-year project in late 2016, the Exploration Space Initiative. Thanks to support from our generous sponsors and donors, the initiative kicked off with the Museum's newest resident, the Space Portal Odyssey Capsule portable planetarium, better known as SPOC. Thousands of students each year now discover the wonders of space through SPOC's educational outreach programs.

Be on the lookout for summer camp opportunities for children of all ages. Camps typically begin in early June and continue through mid August. We offer camps in aerodynamics, robotics, model building, astronomy, and many other STEM-related disciplines.
