The Fondation du Sport Français was born from the will of Messrs. Henri Sérandour, President of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF), from 1993 to 2009, member of the International Olympic Committee and André Auberger, President of the French Paralympic Committee, of the Handisport Federation, Treasurer of the CNOSF, member of the International Paralympic Committee.
It was recognized as being of public utility by decree dated August 24, 2011.
The Foundation aims to promote, for the benefit of the general interest, social innovation through and in sport, to enhance human ties for which sport offers a privileged field of exercise, in order to support, develop and facilitate:
- social and professional integration in and through sport
- health prevention through sport
- promotion of sport for the disabled
- prevention of violence and incivility in the sporting environment
- support for high-level athletes in their post-sporting career

L’innovation sociale dans et par le sport 🏅
La Fondation du Sport Français est née de la volonté de Messieurs Henri Sérandour, Président du Comité National Olympique et Sportif Français (CNOSF), de 1993 à 2009, membre du Comité International Olympique et André Auberger, Président du Comité Paralympique Français, de la Fédération Handisport, Trésorier du CNOSF, membre du Comité Paralympique International.
Elle a été reconnue d’utilité publique par décret en date du 24 août 2011.
La Fondation se propose de promouvoir, au bénéfice de l’intérêt général, l’innovation sociale par et dans le sport, de valoriser les liens humains dont le sport offre un terrain privilégié d’exercice, afin de soutenir développer et faciliter :
- l’insertion sociale et professionnelle dans et par le sport
- la prévention de la santé par le sport
- la promotion du sport pour les handicapés
- la prévention de la violence et des incivilités en milieu sportif
- le soutien aux sportifs de haut niveau dans leur après carrière sportive
