Investing in quality for the long-term

Building on the 200-year banking heritage of the Stern family, investment partnership J. Stern & Co. is the successor to the Stern family’s banking and investment businesses. With offices in London, New York, Zürich and Malta, the firm is owned by the family and its partners.

    J. Stern & Co. manages three core strategies – the flagship World Stars Global Equity strategy, which it has been managing for long-term investors since October 2012, the Multi-Asset Income strategy, and the Emerging Market Debt Stars strategy.

Investing in a wide range of assets, with a long-term horizon and a focus on both quality and value, its investment decisions are based on its own independent investment analysis and the conviction that global quality businesses will compound over time. The Company’s approach follows a set of guiding principles and values defined and adhered to by the Stern family for more than 80 years.

Clients of the firm can invest in UCITS, limited partnership or segregated account formats, alongside the Stern family and the Company’s partners (who command 25% of the firm’s AUM), ensuring a strong alignment of interest.

As of 31 August 2024, the firm manages US$ 1.9 billion on behalf of the Stern family and other long-term investors, including families, entrepreneurs, wealth managers, investment advisers, trustees, charities, and institutions, with growing numbers of retail clients investing via industry platforms.
