Under the supervision of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and the oldest institute of engineering in France, ENSTA is a leading public institution of higher education and research, with EPSCP-GE status, and a founding member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
Since January 1, 2025, the institute has been the result of the merger of ENSTA Paris and ENSTA Bretagne. On its 2 campuses in Paris-Saclay (Palaiseau) and Brest, it brings together over 2,000 students, 200 teacher-researchers, 300 PhD students, 9 research laboratories and some thirty joint chairs and laboratories. Together, its alumni communities form a vast network of nearly 20,000 alumni.
At the crossroads of multiple engineering disciplines, enhanced by digital technology, ENSTA conducts top-level research and innovation, and offers degree courses, 3-year engineering cycles with student and apprentice status, masters, doctorates and Specialized Masters.

Sous tutelle du ministère des Armées et plus ancienne école d’ingénieurs de France, l’ENSTA est un établissement public d’enseignement supérieur et de recherche de premier plan, sous statut EPSCP-GE, membre fondateur de l’Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
L’école est issue de la fusion depuis le 1er janvier 2025 d’ENSTA Paris et d’ENSTA Bretagne. Elle rassemble sur ses 2 campus de Paris-Saclay (à Palaiseau) et de Brest, plus de 2 000 étudiants, 200 enseignants-chercheurs, 300 doctorants, 9 laboratoires de recherche et une trentaine de chaires et laboratoires communs. Ses communautés d’alumni réunies forment un vaste réseau de près de 20 000 anciens élèves.
A la croisée de multiples disciplines d'ingénierie, augmentées par le numérique, l’ENSTA mène une recherche et une innovation de haut niveau et dispense des formations diplômantes, cycles ingénieurs en 3 ans sous statut étudiant et apprenti, masters, doctorats et Mastères Spécialisés.
Son excellence scientifique et technique éclaire et façonne les grandes transformations des domaines de souveraineté : transports et mobilités, énergies durables, défense et sécurité, ingénierie marine, numérique, connaissance de l’environnement, spatial, ingénierie de la santé.
