[Automatic translation follows] A laboratory which analyzes the role of the legal phenomenon in the transformations of contemporary society.
Our laboratory understands law as a social phenomenon through and through: it is both the product of society (its values, its conflicts) and a determining vector of societal transformations. DCS seeks to articulate an internal perspective (research in law) and an external perspective (research on law). The legal phenomenon today takes place on multiple spatial scales ranging from local to global. Also, the DCS laboratory has developed studies relating to the local scale and studies relating to the European and international space.
The approach supported by the laboratory aims to combine three dimensions of legal analysis:
on the one hand, the analysis of the rules and their ordering;
on the other hand, the analysis of the overall coherence of rights within the framework of an approach relating to intradisciplinarity or “dialogue of rights between them” making it possible to identify in particular common dynamics, emerging transversal themes, appropriate analytical frameworks;
finally, the analysis of the foundations of law and the impact of law on society through an interdisciplinarity approach based on the mobilization of disciplines related to law (sociology, history, philosophy, political science).

Un laboratoire qui analyse le rôle du phénomène juridique dans les transformations de la société contemporaine.
Notre laboratoire appréhende le droit comme un phénomène social de part en part : il est à la fois le produit de la société (de ses valeurs, de ses conflits) et un vecteur déterminant des transformations sociétales. DCS cherche à articuler une perspective interne (la recherche en droit) et une perspective externe (la recherche sur le droit). Le phénomène juridique s'inscrit aujourd'hui dans des échelles spatiales multiples allant du local au global. Aussi, le laboratoire DCS a développé des études relatives à l'échelle locale et des études relatives à l'espace européen et international.
L'approche soutenue par le laboratoire vise à coupler trois dimensions de l'analyse du droit:
d'une part, l'analyse des règles et de leur ordonnancement;
d'autre part, l'analyse de la cohérence d'ensemble des droits dans le cadre d'une démarche relevant de l'intradisciplinarité ou du «dialogue des droits entre eux» permettant de repérer notamment les dynamiques communes, les thèmes émergents transversaux, les cadres d'analyse adéquats;
enfin, l'analyse des fondements du droit et de l'impact du droit sur la société à travers une démarche d'interdisciplinarité reposant sur une mobilisation de disciplines connexes au droit (sociologie, histoire, philosophie, science politique).
