We can therefore boast of being a simple club with strong ambitions. Indeed, after 2 French championship titles in 1994 and 1995, what a joy to see our team 1 regain its place in Elite 1 after a majestic 2015/2016 season. The 2016 French champion title is above all a story of women, all focused on a goal, who work very hard all season to achieve the dream of an entire club.
Rugby remains a sport accessible to all. We have 4 teams allowing everyone to find their place from the age of 14. What makes this sport so rich is the differences between them which allow them to become complementary.
In the 2000s, the club had already changed its name to ORCA (Ovalie Romagnatoise Clermont Auvergne). And it is quite natural that in 2016, always in the search to continue at the highest level, that our club enters into partnership with the flagship club of the region which is the ASM and is now called the ASM ROMAGNAT RUGBY Feminine. This partnership should allow us to achieve better visibility, to interest new practitioners (beginners or experienced), new partners.
We will not forget our history but we look to the future. We continue to train at the Romagnat sports complex and we stick to it. We also thank the municipality of Romagnat who support us 100% on this project.
We also thank ASM Omnisport and ASMCA for their trust and professionalism.
Just as we thank all the partners who have supported us for years and we hope there will be more and more of them.

Le club de rugby féminin de Romagnat fut créer en 1974 par des kinésithérapeutes de Clermont-Ferrand.
C’est un club solide, avec des valeurs fondamentales : le respect, l’humilité, le partage.
Nous pouvons ainsi nous vanter d’être un club simple avec de fortes ambitions. En effet, après 2 titres de championnes de France en 1994 et 1995, quel bonheur de voir notre équipe 1 reprendre sa place en Elite 1 après une saison 2015/2016 majestueuse. Le titre de championne de France 2016 c’est avant tout une histoire de femme, toutes centrées vers un objectif, qui travaillent très dur toute la saison pour atteindre le rêve de tout un club.
Le rugby reste un sport accessible à toutes. Nous disposons de 4 équipes permettant à chacune de trouver sa place dès l’âge de 14 ans. Ce qui fait la richesse de ce sport, ce sont les différences des unes et des autres qui permettent de devenir complémentaires.
Dans les années 2000, le club avait déjà changé de nom en s’appelant ORCA (Ovalie Romagnatoise Clermont Auvergne). Et c’est tout naturellement qu’en 2016, toujours dans la recherche de perdurer au plus haut niveau que notre club entre en partenariat avec le club phare de la région qu’est l’ASM et s’appelle désormais l’ASM ROMAGNAT RUGBY Féminin. Ce partenariat doit nous permettre d’atteindre une meilleure visibilité, d’intéresser de nouvelles pratiquantes (débutantes ou confirmées), de nouveaux partenaires.
Nous n’oublierons pas notre histoire mais nous regardons vers l’avenir. Nous continuons à nous entraîner sur le complexe sportif de Romagnat et nous y tenons. Nous remercions d’ailleurs la municipalité de Romagnat qui nous soutiens à 100% sur ce projet.
