Its 26,600 employees achieve an annual research volume of 2.6 billion euros. Of this amount, 2.2 billion euros are spent on contract research. The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft earns more than 70 percent of this amount with contracts from industry and with publicly financed research projects. International cooperations with excellent research partners and innovative companies worldwide provide direct access to the most important present and future scientific and economic regions.
