    Code for Bielefeld is a group of people from Bielefeld with interests and skills in the areas of software, design and open data.

    Together we want to create digital tools and visualizations that make data visible and usable for citizens.

    Code for Bielefeld is part of the “Code for Germany” network, which in turn is a program of the Open Knowledge Foundation.
    The idea behind this is to work together to promote open data, citizen participation and government transparency and to develop useful digital tools.

    Our group is also home to the community “The Things Network” in Bielefeld. The Things Network (TTN) is a global community that provides an open and decentralized infrastructure for the Internet of Things (IoT).
