The Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research (BCCR) is a collaboration on climate research between four partner institutions in Bergen, Norway.
Our scientists are employed at one of our four partners: NORCE, University of Bergen, Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Centre and the Institute of Marine Research.
Together we are the largest climate research centre in the Nordic countries and among the leading centres in Europe.
We have an international profile with leading expertise within climate understanding, climate modeling and climate of the past. We combine observations with theoretical and modelling studies of past, present and future climates.
Our vision is to be the leading international centre for predicting Arctic-Atlantic climate change in a global context, and be the key national provider of climate knowledge.
Climate research
Bjerknessenteret for klimaforskning er et samarbeid om klimaforskning. Vi forsker på klima i fortiden, i dag og i fremtiden, gjennom teori, observasjon og klimamodellering.
