[Automatic translation follows] The CITIC (Research Center for Information and Communications Technologies) is a unique Technological Center promoted by the University of Coruña, with the aim of promoting progress and excellence in research, development and innovation in Information Technologies. and Communications (ICT), promote the transfer of knowledge and results to society and promote R&D&I applied in software development.
It is a meeting point between the university and the company in which R&D departments of companies in the ICT sector are combined with researchers from the university environment. Currently, more than 150 researchers from the public and private sectors are working on different R&D projects at CITIC.

El CITIC (Centro de Investigación en Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones) es un Centro Tecnológico singular impulsado por la Universidade da Coruña, con el fin de potenciar el avance y la excelencia en la investigación, desarrollo e innovación en las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones (TIC), fomentar la transferencia de conocimiento y resultados a la sociedad y potenciar la I+D+i aplicada en el desarrollo del software.
Es un punto de encuentro entre la universidad y la empresa en la que se combinan departamentos de I+D de empresas del sector TIC con investigadores procedentes del ámbito universitario. El Centro constituye un entorno mixto universidad-empresa que posibilita la colaboración y la transferencia tecnológica y de conocimiento.
En la actualidad, en el CITIC trabajan en distintos proyectos de I+D más de 150 investigadores de los sectores público y privado.
Dentro de nuestra actividad se destacan tareas tan relevantes como:
1. Transferencia tecnológica y del conocimiento
2. Proyectos de I+D
3. Programas completos de Calidad en la I+D+i (ISO9001 e ISO 166002)
