L'AGEM est l'Association Générale des Étudiants Montpelliérains, c'est une structure qui se veut être le rassemblement des associations étudiantes de Montpellier, elle a notamment pour objet :
- de défendre et améliorer les droits et intérêts matériels et moraux, tant collectifs qu'individuels, des étudiants et plus globalement des jeunes, et d'exprimer leur(s) position(s) sur tous sujets les concernant ;
- de promouvoir la solidarité, l’initiative et la citoyenneté, notamment en créant des projets innovants répondant aux besoins sociaux et intellectuels quotidiens des étudiants et plus globalement des jeunes ;
- d’assurer et de promouvoir l’égalité des droits, de lutter contre toute forme de discrimination et d'œuvrer pour l’accès au droit commun des étudiants et plus globalement des jeunes ;
- de contribuer à la formation des bénévoles, des militants (élus, bénévoles associatifs, etc.) avec le concours de ses membres actifs, en valorisant les compétences informelles et non-formelles ac-
