Since 2010, the Saint-Irénée Foundation has aimed to support initiatives taken within the diocese of Lyon in the areas of solidarity, education, culture and communication. It was recognized as being of public utility by decree on April 18, 2014, with the capacity to house other foundations.

Depuis 2010, la Fondation Saint-Irénée a pour objet de soutenir les initiatives prises au sein du diocèse de Lyon dans les domaines de la solidarité, de l’éducation, de la culture et de la communication. Elle est reconnue d’utilité publique par décret le 18 avril 2014, avec capacité d’abriter d’autres fondations.
La Fondation Saint-Irénée est présidée par l'archevêque de Lyon.
