MTU Aero Engines is Germany’s leading engine manufacturer and an established global player in the industry. We engage in the design, development, manufacture, marketing and support of commercial and military aircraft engines in all thrust and power categories and stationary gas turbines. Operating affiliates all over the world, MTU has a local presence in all major regions and markets. The company has consolidated annual sales of 3.9 billion euros and a workforce of about 10,000 employees at company locations all over the world. In the commercial engine business, we have content in all thrust and power categories, from propulsion systems for business jets to the world's most powerful commercial engines. For these power plants, we develop and manufacture major components and subsystems. The company cooperates with other engine manufacturers to develop and build novel propulsion systems, partnering with the big players in the industry: General Electric, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce. In the military area, MTU is Germany's industrial lead company for practically all engines flown by the country's military. We deliver the enabling technologies, develop and manufacture engines, engine components and the required tooling, and provide logistics support.
