A Startup Weekend is 54 hours of intense work during which participants come together in teams to develop a business project and combine their skills to create a business model around a solution that meets a market need. At the end of the weekend, each project is presented to a jury of experts and the winners are rewarded. For some of them, it's the beginning of a long story...
This year, we are focusing on the theme of education and training (#EdTech). Each team will work on a problem related to learning, whether academic or professional, and try to build a company by providing an answer to it.
The Startup Weekend Valenciennes EDU 2018, like the first edition, takes place at the Serre Numérique in Valenciennes, which welcomes nearly 800 students every day in 3 schools and hosts around twenty startups in incubation or acceleration. During this weekend, you will invent in the Learning Center, a place dedicated to collaborative innovation. On Sunday evening, you will present your project in the auditorium in front of nearly 150 people!

Un Startup Weekend, c'est 54 heures de travail intense pendant lesquelles les participants se regroupent en équipe pour développer un projet d'entreprise et allient leurs compétences pour créer un business model autour d'une solution qui répond à un besoin du marché. A la fin du week-end, chaque projet est présenté devant un jury d'experts et les gagnants sont récompensés. Pour certains d'entre eux, c'est le début d'une longue histoire...
Cette année, nous nous penchons sur le thème de l'éducation et de la formation (#EdTech). Chaque équipe va travailler sur une problématique liée à l'apprentissage, qu'il soit scolaire ou professionnel, et tenter de bâtir une entreprise en y apportant une réponse.
Le Startup Weekend Valenciennes EDU 2018, comme lors de la première édition, se déroule à la Serre Numérique de Valenciennes qui accueille chaque jour près de 800 étudiants dans 3 écoles et héberge une vingtaine de startups en incubation ou en accélération. Durant ce week-end, vous inventerez dans le Learning Center, un lieu dédié à l'innovation collaborative. Dimanche soir, vous présenterez votre projet dans l'auditorium devant près de 150 personnes !
