Why create Le Journal des Français Abroad?
Jean-Pierre Pont, editor of the Journal des Français à l'école, created the journal Vivre à l'enseignement in 1995, taken over by Studyrama. The latter stopped the paper version eight years ago and, since then, there has been no newspaper on international mobility on the newsstands.
He therefore started from this observation: the information and sharing offer for French people who wish to go abroad or who have already chosen to settle is quite fragmented.
The Journal Les Français Abroad and digital books will meet the needs of expatriates: content specially dedicated to international mobility, written by a team of expatriation specialists.
This quarterly is the paper product of a future website which will be launched in May. Complementary, this site will essentially be a community site which will operate around 3 themes:
• Testimonies from people living abroad or returning and who wish to share their experience;
• Questions from those who have questions and want to be reassured;
• The reactions.
You can already tell us your desire to share your experience through the crowdfunding contact. The newspaper and the website will be enriched by your testimonies and by the questions that concern you.

The editor: Jean-Pierre Pont
An expert in international mobility for more than forty years, Jean-Pierre Pont founded the magazine and website “Vivre à l’avenir.com”, was the author of “The Expatriate’s Backpacker’s Guide from 1999 to 2005” . He shared his expertise on France Info in the column “Français du monde” (2005 to 2009) and on TV5 in the programs “France 2007” and “Destination successful” (2007 to 2008).
After having worked in more than 15 countries, Jean-Pierre Pont, deputy editor of La Voix de France Magazine, edits this new periodical... Share his adventure!

Pourquoi créer Le Journal des Français à l’étranger ?
Jean-Pierre Pont, éditeur du Journal des Français à l’étranger, avait créé, en 1995, le journal Vivre à l’étranger, repris par Studyrama. Ces derniers en ont arrêté la version papier il y a huit ans et, depuis, il n’y a plus aucun journal sur la mobilité internationale dans les kiosques.
Il est donc parti de ce constat : l’offre d’information et de partage pour les Français qui souhaitent partir à l’étranger ou qui ont déjà fait le choix de s’installer est assez morcelée.
Le Journal Les Français à l’étranger et les livres numériques répondront aux besoins des expatriés : un contenu spécialement dédié à la mobilité internationale, rédigé par une équipe de spécialistes de l’expatriation.
Ce trimestriel est le produit papier d’un futur site internet qui sera lancé au mois de mai. Complémentaire, ce site sera essentiellement un site communautaire qui fonctionnera autour de 3 thèmes :
• Les témoignages de personnes vivant à l’étranger ou sur le retour et qui souhaitent partager leur expérience ;
• Les questions de ceux qui s’interrogent et veulent êtres rassurés ;
• Les réactions.
Vous pouvez d’ores et déjà nous signaler votre envie de partager votre expérience à travers le contact du crowdfunding. Le journal et le site internet seront enrichis par vos témoignages et par les questions qui vous préoccupent.

Expert en mobilité internationale depuis plus de quarante ans, Jean-Pierre Pont a fondé le magazine et le site « Vivre à l'étranger.com », a été l'auteur du « Guide du routard de l'expatrié de 1999 à 2005 ». Il a partagé son expertise sur France Info dans la chronique « Français du monde » (2005 à 2009) et sur TV5 dans les émissions « France 2007 » et « Destination réussite » (2007 à 2008).
