La Communauté d'Agglomération du Pays de Meaux (CAPM) a pour finalité l'amélioration du niveau et de la qualité de vie de ses habitants à travers un développement harmonieux et durable de son territoire.
Les élus de la Communauté d'Agglomération, sous l'impulsion du Président, ont souhaité rassembler les objectifs et les principes de la CAPM dans un texte fondateur.
La lutte pour l'emploi, le dynamisme économique, l'amélioration du cadre de vie, sans oublier le développement sportif et culturel sont ainsi clairement proclamés comme les objectifs fondamentaux de l'action de la CAPM. Les élus ont donc adopté la charte de la CAPM qui fait de l'Agglomération une véritable communauté de projets.
C'est le 1er janvier 2003 qu'est née la CAPM, composée des 18 communes qui forment le Pays de Meaux.

De 18 communes, le Pays de Meaux est passé à 22 communes, nous avons intégreré 4 communes, Forfry, Gesvres, Monthyon et St Soupplets.
