[Automatic translation follows] Great national reading aloud game for CM2 students
Launched in France in 2012, the big game of “Little Reading Champions” is intended for all CM1 and CM2 students, from mainland France and overseas, who are invited for three minutes to read at aloud a text of their choice.
Completely free, it aims to promote reading and orality, in a fun way and from the angle of pleasure and sharing. Organized under the high patronage of the Minister of National Education and Youth and created at the initiative of the National Publishing Union, this game also constitutes an educational project for teachers and book mediators: it takes place throughout throughout the school year, in 4 stages. The children first nominate the most convincing reader in their group or class, who will then participate in a departmental final, before being selected for the regional stage, then for the national final in a large theater, in presence in particular of the sponsors of the operation and the authors of the books that each Little Champion will have chosen on this occasion. The little reading champions bring together more and more children, teachers and book mediators every year.

Grand jeu national de lecture à voix haute pour les élèves de CM2
Lancé en France en 2012, le grand jeu des « Petits champions de la lecture », est destiné à tous les élèves de CM1 et de CM2, de France métropolitaine et d’outre-mer, qui sont invités durant trois minutes, à lire à voix haute un texte de leur choix.
Entièrement gratuit, il vise à promouvoir la lecture et l’oralité, sur un mode ludique et sous l’angle du plaisir et du partage. Organisé sous le haut patronage du Ministre de l’Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse et créé à l’initiative du Syndicat national de l’édition, ce jeu constitue aussi un projet pédagogique pour les enseignants et les médiateurs du livre : il se déroule tout au long de l’année scolaire, en 4 étapes. Les enfants désignent dans un premier temps le lecteur le plus convaincant de leur groupe ou de leur classe, qui participera ensuite à une finale départementale, avant d’être sélectionné pour l’étape régionale, puis pour la finale nationale dans un grand théâtre, en présence notamment des parrains de l’opération et des auteurs des livres que chaque Petit champion aura choisi à cette occasion. Les petits champions de la lecture rassemblent chaque année de plus en plus d’enfants, d’enseignants et de médiateurs du livre.
