Our mission ? Help teachers on a daily basis by creating with them content that suits them and digital manuals adapted to their uses!
Passionate about the web and education, Raphaël Taieb (entrepreneur), Émilie Blanchard (professor of History-Geography-EMC) and Jonathan Banon (engineer and founding member of EdTech Lyon) created Lelivrescolaire.fr in 2009.
The strength of the project was to mobilize the teaching community by placing it at the center of the creative process. To date, nearly 4,000 teachers have contributed to the project since the adventure began! In 12 years, almost 100 textbooks have been created collaboratively in most disciplines: History, Geography, French, Philosophy, SVT, Physics-Chemistry, English, Spanish, etc. Editorial successes have multiplied and in just a few years we have become a key player in the educational publishing sector, alongside historic brands like Belin or Nathan.
Our school textbooks exist in two very distinct but complementary formats: paper and digital.
The content of our manuals is accessible free of charge online, without conditions, on our website and is available on all media (smartphone and tablet) thanks to our application. In total: 3 million students use our textbooks daily, and this is undoubtedly our greatest pride!
This open and free access for all is made possible by the sale of paper manuals and Premium digital subscriptions to establishments that wish them. We put our digital expertise at the service of teaching. The Premium digital version of our textbooks offers powerful digital tools, exclusive resources and is designed specifically for classroom use. To date, 1,300 establishments have adopted it!

La force du projet a été de mobiliser la communauté enseignante en la plaçant au centre du processus de création. À ce jour, près de 4 000 professeurs ont contribué au projet depuis le début de l'aventure ! En 12 ans, ce sont pas loin de 100 manuels scolaires qui ont été créés de façon collaborative dans la plupart des disciplines : Histoire, Géographie, Français, Philosophie, SVT, Physique-Chimie, Anglais, Espagnol, etc. Les succès éditoriaux se sont multipliés et nous sommes devenus en quelques années un acteur de référence dans le secteur de l’édition scolaire, aux côtés de marques historiques comme Belin ou Nathan.
Nos manuels scolaires existent sous deux formats bien distincts mais complémentaires : papier et numérique.
Le contenu de nos manuels est accessible gratuitement en ligne, sans condition, sur notre site Internet et se décline sur tous les supports (smartphone et tablette) grâce à notre application. Au total : 3 millions d'élèves utilisent quotidiennement nos manuels scolaires, et c'est sans doute notre plus grande fierté !
Cet accès libre et gratuit pour tous est rendu possible par la vente de manuels papier et d'abonnements numériques Premium aux établissements qui le souhaitent. Nous mettons notre expertise numérique au service de l’enseignement. La version numérique Premium de nos manuels offre des outils numériques performants, des ressources exclusives et est pensée spécialement pour un usage en classe. À ce jour, 1 300 établissements l’ont adoptée !
