INFOPOLE Cluster TIC, a non-profit association, is the result of the merger of two networks dedicated to ICT: INFOPOLE I.S. and the TIC Cluster, whose respective founders are FUNDP and BEP for the first and Agoria for the second.

L'INFOPOLE, a pour objet de fédérer les compétences universitaires et industrielles pour constituer un pôle d'excellence dans les technologies de l'information et de la communication.
A travers cette mobilisation des compétences, l'INFOPOLE Cluster TIC vise à valoriser les expertises régionales disponibles et à renforcer leur positionnement aux niveaux local, régional, national et international.
Améliorer la visibilité du secteur et son attractivité, renforcer sa dynamique de développement, capitaliser l'expertise découlant de la recherche et ouvrir les portes du développement international sont autant d'objectifs de l'INFOPOLE Cluster TIC devant contribuer notamment à endiguer la "fuite des compétences" hors de Wallonie.
Les statuts accordent une place prépondérante aux entreprises et centres de recherche spécialisés en informatique. La composition du Conseil d'Administration de l'asbl est le reflet de cette volonté.
L'INFOPOLE Cluster TIC, association sans but lucratif, est le fruit du rapprochement de deux réseaux dédiés aux TIC: l'INFOPOLE I.S. et le Cluster TIC, dont les fondateurs respectifs sont les FUNDP et le BEP pour le premier et Agoria pour le second.
L'INFOPOLE bénéficie du soutien du la Wallonie, de Digital Wallonia, de l’Agence du Numérique et pour certaines actions, il bénéficie du soutien du plan de Relance de la Wallonie.
